New Year's Eve

Phacee (Phil and Tracee) hosted New Years this year...

We had great snacks, wine, and karaoke.

Happy New Year!

Christmas Time

Christmas time this year was nice and simple.
No travel, no bouncing from house to house, just a nice homey holiday!

Christmas Eve was at Bing Bong's house.

We did the traditional Silent Night routine (ugh) and opened our yearly ornaments.

Christmas day was spent at home with our friends and family.

The kids got to play games, we were all able to visit with each other, and of course we snacked all day long!

Visitors came and went throughout the day.

Presents were opened, and stockings were emptied.

Thanks to everyone who came and shared such a nice, peaceful Christmas day with us!

Board Gaming

Those of you that know us well are very familiar with our affinity for board games.

We probably have the largest board game collection of anyone we know... except maybe Sam.

So when we are able to visit with him we put in LOTS of hours playing them!

When he was here for Christmas we got some others to join us and had a great time!

Pirate Golf!

While Uncle Sam was in town, we adventured to play 3D Pirate Mini Golf!

It was very fun, even for Blu!

It is a dark course, with neon lighting and scary pirate decorations everywhere.

There was a dark entry way with rattling gates that should have been very scary, but Blu wheeled up and stuck his hands right in to see what was there.  Eeeek!  Not to mention the terrifying shark with razor sharp teeth that he basically cuddled with.  Ha!

That boy has no fears (except Daddy singing the Blue's Clues Mail song, lol)!

Winter Crafting

We have been busy crafters this winter!

I made stockings for my family - for each person in their favorite color.

Haylee and Uncle Sam spent hours meticulously making plastic bead designs, which they then ironed to melt together.

Haylee made a house/yard landscape, and Uncle Sam made a globe.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of their finish products.

I quilted and embroidered a "Family Tree" wall hanging for Auntie Alisha, Uncle Chris, and Cousin Hayden.

Alisha and Chris were adult birds sitting on the branches of the tree that held their nest.  In their nest was a little egg -Hayden.

Once again, I forgot to capture the finish product.  Perhaps we can take a picture during our next visit.
