Fountain Fun with Friends

This summer we discovered a totally fun new park in Gladstone!  

There are interactive fountains, and Blu can wheel himself around the entire water play area!  

Water can be sprayed, stepped on, there are archways of water spray, buckets dumping, and water umbrellas.

Haylee and Blu have a great time there, and so do we!  

We liked it so much that we invited cousin Malcolm to join us one day, and friend Joey to come on another day.  

To make it even better, there is an ice cream truck that rolls through on a regular basis, and lots of room to picnic!

Visiting Daddy at the Fire Station

Rachel and Blu ventured out to the Mollala Fire Station to visit Andrew while he was on duty.  

Andrew has been volunteering there to gain experience as an EMT.  

We loved sitting in the firetruck, listening to the ambulance sirens, and seeing Andrew's "office."  

Blu got to hold the giant fire hose (he loves spraying people with hoses), luckily there was no water attached! 

We are so proud of our hardworking man!

4th of July

This 4th of July was very fun for our family!  

The Smelsers invited us to join them in their yearly celebration.  

Blu got to do all sorts of new things including a scavenger hunt, pinata, grass sledding, and going to a fireworks show.  

Good friend Joey led Blu during the scavenger hunt, and Daddy helped him steady the pinata bat.  

We also got to play in sprinklers, ride on a play airplane, and play some football.  

Unfortunately, just before the fireworks started, Blu fell sound asleep.  We tried and tried to wake him up, since he's never seen them, but he was out.  

Wouldn't you know it, as soon as the show ended he was wide awake!  Oh well, maybe next year!
